This is it, the best Balneario on the east region of Puerto Rico. It is named Balneario La Monserrate or also known as Balneario de Luquillo, in the city of Luquillo Puerto Rico. It have been awarded multiple times with the prestigious distinction of the Blue flag beach program. This beach is one the island favorite for locals and tourist. It is the eternal rival to the west and best contender Balneario of Boquerón. We will let you visit both and pick up your favorite.
This beach is very extensive, pristine, super clean, well maintained and super easy to access. The water is so calm, like a salt natural pool with crystal clear visibility and so convenient for families with little kids. This is the perfect time to play in the sand and swim in calm warm sea waters. The sand is golden color and very extensive ,compared to other balnearios on the island.
The Balneario of Luquillo offer great public facilities like: parking, bathrooms, lifeguards, dresser, lockers, camping area, gazebos, pergolas, picnic tables, showers, swimming designated area, rentals (kayaks, umbrellas, chairs,etc..)and activity room or areas for rent. The Balneario also have facilities for handicap persons in wheel chair.
The Balneario La Monserrate gets very crowded in summer weekends, but there is always room for more, it is just very extensive. This Balneario is very close to the rain forest El Yunque and also makes the perfect picture background in the Balneario. It is excellent for taking pictures and build up some treasure memories.
There is so much that you can do in this Balneario, get ready to do: swimming, snorkeling, ride a kayak, paddle board, wind surf or ride a seadoo. Remember that they have a camping designated area with bathrooms and shower facilities. Restaurants are just in a close distance and find access to the main roads and other Fajardo attractions.

If you ever travel to Puerto Rico, be sure not to miss this one. It is very easy to drive to it, have great facilities and is very keep. The water is crystal clear, just calm sea conditions and an excellent place to relax in front of the sea. I have an amazing time here and I definitely recommend this one as one of the best in Puerto Rico!.
