Balneario Punta Salinas is located in the north coast of Puerto Rico and is an attraction to the city of Toa Baja. This Balneario have won the Blue Flag Award multiples times for the great water test and facilities. It also have the Isla de las Palomas (a small island at the west) that helps to protect the Balneario from the rough waves of the Atlantic Ocean. Aside of the island, it was created a rock barrier on the north west side of the Balneario to help to protect the beach from rough waves.

The Balneario Punta Salinas have a sanded shore with color dark beige, clear water and ideal conditions for swimming. Punta Salinas have a great view to see San Juan the capital of Puerto Rico and a spectacular show of cruise ships and commercial shipments passing by, on the Atlantic Ocean. It is a very extensive beach. 

 

This Balneario of Punta Salinas counts with public facilities that others places doesn't have. You can encounter on this Balneario: basketball court, beach volleyball, bathrooms, changing rooms, showers, parking lot, gazebos, rental activity room, swimming designated area, lifeguards and floating wheel chairs for handicaps. Also on the Balneario have seen sea turtles nesting and eyesight manatees multiple times.

On high season there some food trucks for snacks but on low season they are not present, then we recommend that you bring your food or drinks. There are not kiosks or  business inside of the facilities, it is a good idea to bring everything that you may need. There are multiples activities that you can do here from: swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, paddle board, fishing, play beach volleyball, basketball, jogging or just relax under some trees and enjoy the gorgeous view.

This Balneario of Punta Salinas is been known lately for great cleaning and keeping it very appeal. It is a beach that is worth to be on our list and a good option if you are visiting the north region of Puerto Rico.
